Managing Director - Casablanca
The Sjøvik Group operates an international fishing enterprise from its base in Midsund, on the North West coast close to Aalesund. Geographically, this puts the company in Norway’s largest and most vital fishing region, as well as at one of the world’s leading fish technology centres. The Sjøvik Group has established a worldwide sales organization through its network of companies and international partners.
Sjovik Morocco SA was created in 2004 by the Norwegian group Sjovik as in partnership with Moroccan investors.
As a Managing Director, you have to guide the business into the future with planned growth ensuring that all stated objectives, aims and targets are met and lead to the overall Company Goal.
Your main responsibilities are:
Day-to-day financial control of the business
Relations with organizations and Clients for which the Company conducts work, including the involvement in design of new projects, as applicable.
Ensuring that the business is run in compliance with the Companies' act.
Briefing staff on all relevant aspects of the Company business.
Determining the Company Policies with regard to Quality, Health &Safety and the Environment and ensuring that these are communicated and understood.
Ensuring that the vessel operates according to laws and regulations in Morocco.
Undertaking the role of Management System Representative ensuring that the Management System (internal control) is implemented reviewed, maintained, and where possible continually improved.
Chairing monthly meeting with Directors and Supervisors, and be responsible for facilitating quarterly Board Meetings together with the President with agenda
Responsible for employment of personnel, and ensure that employing people in the position of managers that this is approved from the Norwegian management
Produce monthly and quarterly reports to the management in Norway and to the President (the President and Managing Director is part of the Management team of the company together with the Norwegian management)
Profil recherché :
Academic degree or equivalent in engineering
At least 5 to10 years Strong and successful professional experience in an executive management role preferred in the fishing industry environment, ideally in an international company.
Excellent leadership skills
Very structured way of working with strong focus on efficiencies
Highly professional attitude characterized by a patient, customer, result and quality oriented working style
Excellent communication skills with a very strong team approach and ability to build and connect effective teams and identify and develop talents
Very high level of flexibility, openness and empathy and good ability to work in a structured way even under pressure
English verbally and writing advanced level are required
